OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today players and coaches will take to the links on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at The Marshes Golf Club for the 13th annual Bell/Senators Charity Golf Classic, which has raised more than $650,000 over the past 12 years.
Bell Canada and the Ottawa Senators announced in May a commitment to raise $1million for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) over the next five years.The 13th annual Bell/Senators Charity Golf Classic , which is the club's first official public function of the season, is one of the events that will help Bell and the Ottawa Senators fulfill the million-dollar goal.
On the morning agenda is a players brunch. Gary Cameron from Bell Canada will welcome guests at 10:45 a.m. and set the foursomes off on their way. The 6 p.m. dinner, in the main ballroom of the Brookstreet Hotel, will begin with cheque presentations and an address from Melanie Pham, CHEO champion child.
Interviews with players will take place at the golf course from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. shotgun start. A complete list of players, staff, management and alumni will be available at the registration desk, which opens at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
