Entering its 15th year, the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival has become one of Ottawa's leading summer events attracting more than 190 teams representing 4,700 paddlers. The 2008 event will be held June 20th to June 22nd at Mooney's Bay and Ottawa Senators centreman Mike Fisher will serve as the honorary chair for the festival. For a third straight year a portion of the funds raised by the festivals' PLEDGE CHALLENGE will support the Sens Foundation and Roger's House. Last year paddlers raised $231,000!

Why not get involved in the action? If two days of fun-filled paddling, socializing, and raising a minimum of $500 for local charities sounds like an interesting challenge, then a spot on the SENSational Paddlers team is a great fit for you. As a charitable partner in this event, the Sens Foundation wants to set even greater goals for success!

With your commitment to raise $500 we have room for you to join us.  We currently have space to accommodate 25 people on our team.  Your generous donation will entitle you to the following: 
· COVER off the team registration fees;
· Provide each team member with a team shirt and hat;
· Organize two practice sessions prior to festival weekend;
· Ensure a tent is available for the team to gather at /under on-site at Mooney’s Bay festival weekend;
· YOU CAN STILL FUNDRAISE AND WIN!  We will recognize our top three team fundraisers with Mike Fisher signed Senators merchandise;
· Guaranteed to have some additional surprises along the way!
