Bell and Senators partner for this exclusive V.I.P. event benefiting V.I.K.’s
| Date : | Sunday, January 18, 2009 |
| Location: | Scotiabank Place |
| Achievement: | $100,000 raised in 2009 for Easter Seals and Roger’s House |
For more than 14 years, Bell and the Ottawa Senators have worked together to raise funds for a variety of children’s charities in the region. Launched in 2007, the 3nd Annual Sens Skills Sunday Brunch hosted more than 150 supporters who received V.I.P. treatment with a fabulous brunch presented by Microsoft, met some of their favourite Sens Players, and at the same time support some V.I.K.’s (Very Important Kids!). Brunch was followed by the excitement of then watching Sens players go head-to-head on the ice at the annual Sens Skills competition!
Sens Skills is a charitable, family-oriented event that features the Ottawa Senators players being split into two teams and competing against each other in six skills events.
As a result of these two events, together Bell, the Ottawa Senators, the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League’s Players' Association donated $100,000 to the Easter Seals of Ottawa and Roger’s House through the NHLPA's Goals & Dreams Fund and the Sens Foundation.
