Since 2003, Direct Energy has teamed up with the Sens Foundation to present Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House. The event is a non-competitive morning for participants to walk, roll or run 2-, 5- or 10-kilometre events routes set amongst the beautiful grounds of the Brookstreet Hotel and Marshes Golf Club in Kanata.

This year, the 5^th Annual Direct Energy Walk, Roll & Run for Roger’s House presented by Scotiabank enjoyed many successes:

• $248,000 was raised
• more than 1000 people participated at the event
• nearly 3000 donations were made
• Scotiabank and its employees raised more than $61,000 and won the Ottawa Citizen Team Challenge
• Jeanine and Dean Ottawa were the lucky winners of the trip with the team

Ottawa Senators players Martin Gerber, Antoine Vermette and Roger’s House honorary chair Mike Fisher took part in the ceremonies and signed autographs for the participants. The Great-West Family Fun Zone was also a huge hit.

This annual event is ideal for families, individuals, classmates, neighbours, organizations and teams and it is a primary fundraising event of the Sens Foundation for their charity of choice, Roger’s House. In five years Walk, Roll & Run for Roger's House has raised more than $750,000.
